dm1: Coconut Mask. Carved coconut shell. H: 5.5", W: 6.25", D: 2.5". Mid 20th century ?. Kayanic Dayak complex, Borneo Island, Indonesia. I was told these were decorations for war cloaks. I have seen round discs and other similar ornaments on war cloaks, so it is possible that is what these were used for, but their exact use is still not clear. I have not come across any more of these after acquiring these three examples.
